SOFTOO project ยท Telecom
Telenor Pakistan
Turning tower telemetry into a more proactive approach to operating a nationwide mobile network.
The engagement
Thunder is an in-house product for Telenor Pakistan. It brings together tower and equipment data to help operations teams spot emerging issues sooner and make maintenance decisions with better context.
I worked on this engagement as part of the SOFTOO team. As Associate Project Manager on Thunder, I was the main client-facing lead for Telenor Pakistan. I met the client on site two to three times a week, led sprint execution, and guided them through to product launch. By managing commitments carefully and communicating clearly with stakeholders, I kept scope realistic and delivery on pace, resulting in faster delivery and a satisfied client. The figures on this page describe published, project-level outcomes rather than individual attribution.
01 / The challenge
Thousands of distributed sites make it difficult to see changing conditions consistently and prioritize attention across the network.
When teams rely on reactive signals, faults can take longer to identify and avoidable site visits and fuel use become harder to prevent.
02 / The approach
Bring key site signals such as equipment status, power, and fuel into a more visible operational picture.
Use predictive analysis to surface potential outages and maintenance needs before they become service incidents.
Give operations teams a shared view of assets and performance so they can investigate and act with better context.
03 / Project impact
The published case study reports lower operating costs, reduced diesel consumption, and lower emissions across the monitored site estate. These are project-level figures reported by SOFTOO.
